BIRMINGHAM POST – Enterprise editor, news reporter (Aug 07 – ) Arranging, producing and writing the weekly small business section of the paper. Also finding and writing regular news articles with both the business and news sections of the Post, plus regular cover for Media and Marketing section of the paper. Wrote comment and opinions pieces, both in print and online.
SUNDAY MERCURY – Trainee reporter (May 07 -Aug 07) News reporter on the Midlands’ only Sunday tabloid. Work included investigations into the use of fingerprinting technology on schoolchildren as young as three, and lengthy coverage of the summer floods in the region.
BIRMINGHAM POST – Trainee reporter (Jan 07 – Apr 07) News and business reporter on the Birmingham Post, with a broad remit, including SME and media sections of the business pages.
